The Moto 360: Your Next Watch?

With the amount of wearables that are expected to hit the market in the next few months, one of the most interesting is the Moto 360 by Motorola. After Google announced Android Wear, a special fork of their mobile OS that will specifically cater to wearables, the first device shown was a watch from Motorola. Almost instantly, the internet went insane with the thought of such a nice looking smart-watch existing.

Moto 360

Certainly, the Moto 360 is not the first smart-watch to come to the public eye. Others such as the Pebble and Samsung’s Gear line of watches have been released. So what makes this watch so significant?

It’s just a watch.

But also much more than that. The Moto 360 is a smart watch that is aiming to give its users glance-able information from their smartphone. What makes this watch so different and significant for the average user is that its not scary. You can look at the Moto 360 and see that it is a watch. It doesn’t look like a mini-smartphone on your wrist (even though it is), it won’t scare away the people that are scared of learning another new technology.

The Moto 360 is one of the most friendly-looking wearables on the market. People will come for the stark, suave design and they will stay for everything that an Android-powered smart-watch offers.
